Karrine Steffans was born in Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, on August 24, 1978. She was born under the Virgo zodiac sign, per her date and month of birth. The Vixen Manual:How to Find, Seduce & Keep the Man You Want (2009), The Vixen Diaries (2007), and Confessions of a Video Vixen (2005) are the first three books written by Karrine Steffans that have all reached the New York Times Best Seller list. Her first book was dedicated to her son, and some of her sales were given to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Confessions debuted on The New York Times Best Seller list at number seven and peaked at number five. It remained in hardcover for more than twenty weeks before reappearing in paperback a year and a half later.
In the fall of 2007, the Vixen Diaries, written by Grand Central Publishing/Hachette Book Group USA, debuted at number six on the New York Times Best Sellers list.
